believe in diversity
raise your kids like theirs
believe in equality
smile a lot
especially
when

sad

even when
you don’t
have to
buy the same cars
wear the same stylish clothes
talk about
the same things
sing the same songs
be in the right political
party
never be disagreeable
and never express
how you really
think and feel
shop at the same stores
believe in diversity
listen intently to what
they say on the
nightly news
and believe they
wouldn’t intentionally
lie or distort the
truth
work hard
save your money
be honest
believe your doctor
and
take the pills he prescribes
despite your
gut tells you
NO
because he is the
‘so-called’
expert
watch the commercials on TV
and let them influence
your buying
decisions
go mow your lawn
take out the trash
get a college degree so
you can get a secure job
so you can be
a good taxpayer
be reputable
water your lawn
drive your car
on the freeway
and
don’t get mad
when someone
rudely
cuts you off
and flips you
off
go to work
always be on time
always take your boss’s
S _ _ T, abuse
and put downs
go with the flow
plan for retirement
work thirty years
it will come sooner
than you think…
never say
the unpopular
viewpoint
exercise because they say it’s good
eat what they say is healthy
yet,
you seem so
unhappy but
you say you
don’t know why?
what is so wrong?
is it something in
the world that’s
not quite right
or is it inside of you?
Is it you who suffers
