they say you create your own reality
but, it somehow doesn’t seem quite like it’s true
things aren’t necessarily how they appear
and we can be wrong about things
yet, you know, it is us who sees through these eyes of ours
and, it is us who have our own beliefs, prejudices and opinions
so, at the same time, we need to be easy on ourselves
for earth has never been such an easy place to be
even though you sit in an easy chair
with a drink in your hand
and watch the world pass you by.
